Are we going through some hard times now? Yes. Holy shit, yes.
Are they as rough as those of our friend who came by today, whom I had not seen since before his newborn daughter died in his arms? No. Holy shit, no.
Are they as rough as those of the brave and beloved Hopkins family right now? Not in a million years. (Hang in there Lucy Kate, aka Superhero Girl.)
We’re all in this mess of humanity together, and all we can do is care for each other through the best and worst of it, and be grateful for Grace, wherever it may find us.
