Good news! The car is fixed. (But now, a quandary:)

The garage is willing to take half in cash, and then let me leave my husband as collateral, so I can drive to the bank and get the other half.

Sooooo, do I drive back with the money and collect the husband, and soon afterward meet my mother at the airport, OR… Well, let’s see: Which U.S. border is closer, Mexico’s or Canada’s?
